 NICE PROJECT AND "VIRTUAL WORLDS"

After reading The NICE project and surfing through the web, I found
that exists many different ways to teach our students a new language, virtual worlds seem to be a perfect way to encourage them to keep learning a different language because it´s a mix of technology, information and educational things in order to help the students to have more success at the moment of learning.

Besides it goes further with the "traditional teaching-learning process". These virtual worlds make that the students get enthusiastic, and probably they are more interested in learning.

With these tools I think is possible to teach english and
I would implement these websites ("Virtual Worlds") in order to improve the four skills of english.

TASK  # 4                   Write a blog entry

  From my point of view I think technology has been increasing rapidly.
in part I think it has a significant effect on the way many people live, work, etc. this is a big step to have better opportunities not only in the learning process but also modifies our lifestyle.
I mean, with this new technological era you can do many things without a lot of effort, for example:

You can study in the day or in the nigh, you can have access to many websites to get information about whatever you want.
This technology also allows you to be connected with many people all around the world and share videos, music, pictures, both can learn about the culture.

With this new kind of work students are encouraged to regard computers as tools to be used in all aspects of their studies.

Cultural Diversity In Education In México

Nowadays Education in mexico has changed because many years ago few people used to have the chance to be in a school because families did not have enough money to send their children to the schools.

Life in  Mexico is difficult in part because of the lack of access to public services, including the same educational opportunities that a student may find in some areas. At the same time, it may be argued that life is less stressful than in urban areas. The child lives, studies, works, and plays in an environment where he or she is constantly surrounded by a large, extended family and people known by the child. Time may not be measured by clocks. Dietary habits, including the use of utensils, are not the same as for city dwellers. People from rural areas in Mexico are sometimes ridiculed by people from larger towns or cities, who may laugh at their speech, clothing, or mannerisms. (Mary Faith Mount)

What is copyright

Copyright is a law that gives you ownership over the things you create. Be it a painting, a photograph, a poem or a novel, if you created it, you own it and it’s the copyright law itself that assures that ownership. The ownership that copyright law grants comes with several rights that you, as the owner, have exclusively. Those rights include:

    * The right to reproduce the work.

    * to prepare derivative works.

    * to distribute copies.

    * to perform the work.

What is fair use?

A fair use is any copyright of copyrighted material done for a limited and transformative purpose, such as education, to comment upon, criticize, or parody a copyrighted work.

Such uses can be done without permission from the copyright owner.

In other words, fair use is a defense against a claim of copyright infringement. If your use qualifies as a fair use, then it would not be considered an illegal infringement.
